Andrea Savattieri, an emerging contemporary artist, was born in San Cataldo (CL) in 1982. He spent his childhood in the sunny native land among the scents of orange blossoms and the unmistakable aroma of wood.
Training and passion for art arouse at a very early age, watching his mother restore and challenge herself over time with brushes, colors, clay and papier mache. An inclination to creativity has its roots in the family. Three artists follow one another, three generations, three different cultures. As a matter of fact the great-grandfather and the maternal grandfather are both sculptors and restorers.
That’s why in each of his creations Andrea Savattieri searches for a personal balance between tradition and innovation. Andrea obtained a degree in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania in 2006 and a degree in Architecture in 2012.
In 2018 he was listed in the register of the Cultural Heritage Restorers. National and international magazines have featured his creations: “La Sicilia” – “Detto Fatto” – “Living” – “Interni” and “Trend and Style”.
